How to temporarily close your charity

Useful information for food banks, charity branches, and charity organisations.

  1. Accessing the Manage Closed Dates Modal

    1. From the "Schedule" screen, tap the three dots (ellipsis) menu in the top-right corner.

    2. Select "Manage closed dates" from the drop-down menu.

    3. The "Manage closed dates" modal will appear.

A maximum of 12 weeks in total can be added.

  1. Adding a New Close Date

    1. Tap the "Select dates" button.

    2. Choose the date(s) you want to close by tapping on the dates in the calendar. You can select a single date or a range of dates.

    3. Once you have selected the dates, tap the "OK" button to confirm.

      1. The selected dates will now appear in the "Upcoming close dates" section.

After adding dates, ensure you tap the "Save" button to apply your modifications.

  1. Viewing and Removing Upcoming Close Dates

    1. In the "Upcoming close dates (5 days) - " section, you will see a list of all the dates you have previously scheduled for closure.

    2. To remove a date, check the box next to the date you wish to remove.

    3. A confirmation message will appear asking if you are sure you want to remove the selected dates.

    4. Tap "DELETE" to confirm the removal of the dates.

  1. Past Close Dates Visibility

    1. Access to Historical Data -

    2. The "Past" section allows users to view previously closed dates, with a note indicating the time range of available historical data for the past 12 months.

    3. This feature provides users with context on when previous closures occurred.

Increased Visibility of Temporary Closures

  1. Red Calendar Icons and Text

    1. Indication of Temporary Closures -

      1. Red calendar icons with a red 'X' mark the days when the charity will be temporarily closed.

      2. Additional red text states "You are marked as temporarily closed," providing a clear visual cue.
