Set up food classifications

Useful information for food network admins, donor branches, donor organisations, charity branches, and charity organisations.

  • You will be asked to select your preferred Food Classifications on the Registration page.

  • Each branch on the system must specify their food classifications (select from Ambient, Chilled, Frozen and Hot) in order to be able to donate and accept food donations.

    • This is an important step of the process because the system takes these into account for food safety purposes (for example, food storage). 

  • If you need to update them at any time, you can do this by going to;

    • ‘My Organisation’ → ‘Manage Branches’ → clicking on the blue ‘Edit’ button and go to the ‘Branch Food Classification’ tab.

You will need to notify your Food Network Administrator so they can adjust the settings on your membership account in the Food Network, especially if you are adding Food Classifications.
