Invite members to my Food Network

Useful information for Food Network administrators.

As a food network administrator you can invite new members to join your food net.

There are a few different ways to invite new members to your Network.

  • By Invite to an Organisation already registered on Foodiverse.

  • By Invite to an Organisation that has not registered on Foodiverse.

Instructions: For a Donor or Charity Organisation that IS registered on the Foodiverse.

  1. In order to invite a new member to your Food Net, go to ‘My FoodBank Network’  ⇒ ‘Manage Network Members’.

  2. Click on the blue button ‘+ Invite New Members’:

  1. In the box under ‘ Search for Organisations' Branches available for Network Membership Invitation: ‘, type to search for the organisation that you want to invite to your Food Net. Click on it.

  2. See the found organisation under ‘Selected Branches for invitation’ 

  3. Click ‘Submit’:

  4. See the green banner confirmation saying ‘Invitations sent successfully’.

Instructions: For a Donor or Charity Organisation that IS NOT registered on the Foodiverse.

  1. In order to invite a new member to your Food Net, go to ‘My FoodBank Network’  ⇒ ‘Manage Network Members’.

  2. Invite new members to register with Foodiverse, and join your Foodbank Network with a custom link, click ‘Create invite link’ 

  3. The Donor or Charity Organisation must NOT be already registered on the Foodiverse platform.

  4. Click either the Create Charity Link or the Create Donor link 

  5. Send the link to the unregistered Donor or Charity Organisation via email.

  6. Keep in mind that the link expires in 24 hours.

  1. The Donor or Charity Organisation clicks on the link in the email. 

  2. A member type specific Registration Form will open for the recipient.

  3. Image below shows the Charity Organisation Registration Form. 

  4. The New Donor Member Registration Form is very similar in layout & instruction.

  5.  When your new member registers via your link, they will be automatically joined to your FoodNet.

  1. Depending on your FoodBank Network Settings page, the ‘Activate Membership Is Required’ is either toggled ON or toggled OFF.

    1. Toggled ON = You can not activate new members in your Food Net on their behalf >A Donor or Charity must activate their own membership following Approval at the FoodNet.

    2. Toggled OFF = You can activate new members in your Food Net on their behalf. > A foodnet admin can Activate the membership of new members. There is no need to wait for an Org/org branch to activate the membership
