Snackbar Notifications

Useful information for donors and charities using the foodiverse mobile application.

Snackbar notifications give feedback from an operation without obstructing the user’s view when performing other actions. They appear temporarily towards the bottom of the screen. They disappear by themselves after a few moments.

Please note: for android users with version android 8 and below (older android devices) there will be no emoji, just the wording on the snackbar. This is because some of the chosen emojis do not work on older android devices

Charity Notifications

Snackbar notification for when a charity successfully accepts a donation. The donation will now appear in the charities ‘To be collected’ section.

Snackbar notification for when a charity declines the donation. Can only be seen by primary or waitlist charities.

Snackbar notification for when a charity leaves feedback on a donation; for example, ‘no food at branch’. Only applicable if the donation was accepted and it is not transferred to the charity.

Snackbar notification for when a charity attempts to accept a donation after the ‘accept by time’ has passed.

Snackbar notification for when a charity attempts to mark the offer as Transferred but the Donor may have marked it as Transferred already.

Snackbar notification for when a charity attempts to accept or reject an offer that has been accepted by another charity. Only applicable to waitlist and primary charities.

Donor Notifications

Snackbar notification for when a donor successfully creates a donation. The donations will be offered to the primary and/or waitlist charity, or alternatively if there is no primary charity it will appear on the network foodboard.

Snackbar notification for when a donor marks the accepted donation as not transferred. There are 3 reasons this happens; another charity collects the donations, the donation was refused on-site or the charity did not collect the donation.

Snackbar notification for when a donor marks an accepted donation as transferred. The donation will now disappear from the dashboard and show in the ‘View My Donations’ page.

Notifications for all users

Snackbar notification for successfully updating the user’s information through ‘Profile’ > ‘My Information’ > ‘Update’

Snackbar notification shown when one/multiple of the following errors are met
- '+' is not there in front of the country code
- If it’s not a correct number
- It it doesn't use 10 digits
- If it's already in use
